Insure and Go:
... have to say I disagree with most of the reviews on dooyoo regarding Insure and Go. I have been insured with them for the past two years and had no problems. Their policies are competitively priced but not the cheapest - I paid about £58 for an annual policy this year however plenty of cowboy companies on the internet charge far less. they delivered my documents promptly and also answered the phone quickly when I c... Insure and Go ... have just received a letter from insure and go stating that they will automatically debit my card and renew my travel insurance when it runs out. What a cheek! I don t recall signing up for that deal. They are saying that they will take £86. If I go online I can buy the same insurance for £80. Where s the customer loyalty in that? I don t even need the £86 policy cos I wont be going to the USA or Canada. I can t afford it again this year. What gives Insure and Go the right to assume I will need the same cover again? In any case I don t want to go on holiday until a month after the renewal date. My advice - look around for cheaper holiday insurance and be careful with wh... RapidInsure.co.uk ... t waste your time and money with Rapidinsure. I didn t realise how bad my policy was until I actually made a claim. After originally telling me I could claim for my MP3 player with an excess of £100, they then reckoned that anything dropped or spilt carried a £250 excess, it s in the small print somewhere. Isn t that why we buy insurance, in case we drop or spill something ? For this awful cover I was paying a whopping £414 for buildings and contents, the lowest excess was £100. I have since got several quotes with much better cover, with a £50 excess, for much less, some below £300. The general guide is, high premium - low excess. Or low premium - high excess. But I ... Post Office Travel Insurances ... a quick review as a word of warning against the Post Office Travel Money card. Before I went backpacking in South East Asia I thought it would be a good idea to set up a travel money card. The post office travel money card is basically like a debit card, but the you preload the card with the amount you want to take away with you. There are three options for currency on the card, dollars, euros or sterling. Loading the card is free for dollars and euros but a small charge is placed on loading it with sterling. There are still charges for withdrawing money in foreign countries but not if the currency you are withdrawing is the same as on the card. Anyway I though ...
