Advantages: easy to sort out

Disadvantages: forms when you return home take about a day to fill in

I went to Cyprus this summer (2000), one friend got bronchitus and another fell over and pulled all the ligaments in his foot. They both got excellent treatment at private hospitals. We payed £10, then a £32 excess when we went to hospital and got service better than anything I've experienced before. 4 days in hospital all payed for without quibbles by AXA. The insurance also payed for phonecalls made in hospital, taxi to and from hospital, physiotherapist (incl. taxis), all treatment and crutches!!!
It was amazing! I have to say that it was easy to book and even easier to use when needed. The only tricky part is filling in all the questionaires when you return from holiday.
