For example on a recent holiday I forgot to take my travel insurance documents with me, and realised at the airport about 30 minutes before boarding that I'd forgotton them. One quick call to CGU meant that my documents were faxed out to my hotel to meet me on arrival, as well as the staff member giving me a note of my policy number and emergency number in case of problems before then. I've used CGU (formerly General Accident) for travel insurance on quite a few occasions over the past five years. Their premiums are very compeitive (£12.50 for a weeks cover to Europe) and their staff are very helpful. Although I have no experience of their claims department, having never had to make a claim (yet!), their customer service is excellent.
