I joined Columbus direct earlier on this year because they were featured on TravelSupermarket website. I never claimed anything in my life, however after returning from Egypt, some 3 days later I developed a terrible bug that made me dependent to bed and toilet whilst taking antibiotics and other tablets for different syptoms. I just spoke with Columbus claims and this silly young girl with an attitude problem said that I am not covered for developing the bug when I returned to UK!!!!!!!! - this is home insurance, she said.

How pathetic, so what do I pay the travel insurance for?

Basically they had decent cover, it was easy to buy, and they were helpful when I needed them on the phone. really overall I couldnt fault it. They have lots of variety on the types of policy that are available, both on the web site and over the phone, so there is plently of opportunity to get the right type of cover for your trip.

I`ve been with Columbus Direct for over 5 years now and have encountered any problems when booking or making a claim. I suggest you visit the website when looking up quotes.
