Although they accepted the medical claim (after a week in hospital in Vietnam) they have not made any settlement or acknowledged my claim for 3 months. All telephone call and e-mails are ignored. They do however send me customer satisfaction questionnaires!I am several thousand pounds out of pocket and was left ill in a distant country, in hospital with none of the promised assistance.Steer well clear!

We had a very poor experience with Travel Insurance Web when it came to making a claim. My wife suffered complications in early pregnancy and we had to cancel a trip. Travel Insurance Web eventualy rejected the claim on the basis that we knew she was pregnant when we booked the trip. It would have been nice to know when taking out the insurance that they view pregnancy as a pre-existing medical condition. If that wasn't possible, it would have been good if they told us at the beginning of the process - not 4 months (and countless communications) after we reported the cancellation. Keep awy from Travel Insurance Web. They advertise that they are cheap ... and they are.

I uncovered them after reading a newspaper article and insurance comparison websites ... Read the complete review

Do not even think to contact these people by phone or email. Those quotes are much higher than what you find online. Upgrading your policy is a rip off. Also-the discount you get to renew your policy is worse than simply taking out a complete new policy.So-great company-but avoid email/phone contact!

When I found this site I was very pleased with both the premium and the cover offered. Take care when you compare prices as the amount of cover varies, I found the Insurance I needed and bought an ... Read the complete review

Last week I booked a holiday over the internet, it is for one week to Lanzarote in June. I booked the apartment over the internet but I booked my flights with a travel agent because I wanted transfers from my house to the airport included. I didn't take their holiday insurance as it would have cost £16 each, I know that's ... Read the complete review

Having booked my holiday to Tenerife in due to start next week, I decided to look on the internet for the best travel deal for the week. I had come across a few sites, and on Screentrade.co.uk, they recommended Direct Travel Insurance, and upon choosing them, I booked my insurance on line. The cost was £9.50 for 8 days ...
