I had an Annual policy with Essential Travel, and it all worked out fine. Website = dead easy to use. Customer services people = extremely helpful. I had to call to discuss a medical condition that I suffer from, which didn't seem to prove a problem. I just answered a few questions to the guy over the phone and I was all set.

I would certainly recommend them to a friend. They were cheaper than other quotes I got, and when I actually had to claim for a medical bill from when I was abroad, they were very helpful in advising me of the procedure to get my money back. Which I did!

Overall, a not-annoying experience, which I don't usually expect when dealing with insurance. Unless the credit crunch makes them hike their prices up I'll be using them for another year. The combination of easiness and value works for me every time.
