Advantages: CHEAPER THAN SOME

Disadvantages: YOU GET LESS THAN YOU PAY FOR-A LOT LESS.

I too, took out an Annual travel insurance policy with InsureandGo and they persisted in attempting to renew it automatically.
I received an email informing me..."We wrote to you a little while ago letting you know that your Travel Insurance policy renews on 12/11/2007

As we've not heard from you we will debit £ 55.00 from the card used last year on 11/11/2006. If you do not wish to renew your policy or want to change your payment details, send an email to renewals@insureandgo.com or call us on 0870 4234 308. "


Despite two emails and a phone call saying I did not want to renew they billed me for a further year. They also kept me hanging on their expensive phone line for 15 minutes when I asked to speak to a manager-he or she never had the guts to answer my question-why had they presumed to take money from my account without permission? Very poor service and attitude to customers in my view.Steer clear!

It's for this reason that I always pay insurance charges by one-off payment... saves the hassle! You'll probably find that they were entitled to do this somewhere in the small print of your policy.
