I have an annual multi-trip policy and recently travelled from London to Toronto via Chicago. The flight from Chigaco to Toronto was cancelled due to bad weather in Chicago and we had to stay overnight. I contacted Insure&Go to make a Claim only to be told I was only insured for cancellations on the first flight - not any any further connecting flights. On checking the small print, it does state this - I know I should have read more thoroughly, but I assumed that no company would omit cover for additional flights booked. What kind of pointless cover is this for anyone travelling to the USA for example where connecting flights are commonplace? The others travelling with me are able make a Claim with their insurance providers for this delay.

Be careful - 80% of my flights in the last 5 years have involved connecting flights, and unknowingly (or even naïvely) I have not been covered.
