InsureAndGo.com is a shocking and cynical rip off. I was robbed on holiday in India. I lost £1,000 worth of the items that you would reasonably carry with you on a holiday: SLR camera + zoom lens, ipod, etc. I got a police report and I do have all the original receipts for these items too. But after checking the policy small print, I see that it states that all these items count as "valuables", and insureandgo.com will only pay out a total of £200 for "valuables"!!! So I lose £800 already. Yet the policy states I can claim up to £1,500 for stolen baggage. Therefore I can still claim up to £1,300 for my non-valuable items (towel, toothbrush, ..). Who would keep receipts for these things? What a joke. This is bordering on fraud. I feel totally cheated.

Like many others on these reviews - rubbish policy, complete waste of money...
Been buying their top-end insurance for years (who's the mug?), and this year for first time had cause to claim for a watch stolen out of our hotel bedroom. What a faff to supply all the info they need (incurring lots of registered post costs), and then they came back and told me they don't cover unattended personal possessions !
Remember to pack everything every morning and take all your belongings to the pool with you if you take out one of their policies!
Rip-off - do not buy their policies...

Airline lost my luggage for 5 days. Had to spend about 100 euro on clothes and essentials until my bag was returned (HALF what was "allowed" under my "cover"). My spare insulin was in my main bag. When my main supply failed, I had to go to hospital in Greece to get a new batch. Back in London, I was told (BY THEIR SUPPORT ... Read the complete review

I've been with Insureandgo for 18 months and done a lot of travelling but never needed to make a claim. Monday morning (02/02/09) in London I was due to go on a coach tour in Europe only to realise that I couldn't make the journey across London to meet the coach to get to Dover, customer services for both the tour and insureandgo did ... I had to claim money for travel cancellation due to pregnancy. I had a talk with their customer service who provided me a claim number. Filled up their form, and got my money within couple of weeks. No questions asked.
Piece of advice: Read the policy documents and fill up the claim form very very carefully. Supply them with the proper documents. If your claim is valid (as per Insure and Go's policy), I am sure they will provide you the money.

My dad has always used Insure and go as our family travel insurance and his a financial advisor so he should know whats good, and so since I have started travelling on my own this is what I use. I have an annual multi-trip policy and recently travelled from London to Toronto via Chicago. The flight from Chigaco to Toronto was cancelled due to bad weather in Chicago and we had to stay overnight. I bought a long term backpacker policy from these jokers back in April for around £170. As I had previous medical conditions I rang up to take the policy out where I was assured my conditions were covered as standard and not to worry. I also explained that i would be going abroad for 3 months then returning to the UK for 2 months before going ... Read the complete review

Avoid. Any belongings worth anything are classed as "valuables" meaning even if you lost £500 worth of camera, mp3 etc you would get a max of £100. Thats in the smallprint. They are also very awkward when making a claim. They ask for details of everything and put barriers up.

Not bad cover for the price, I haven't claimed so not sure about the service. What I don't like is the automatic renewal letter I have just received which seems like a shoddy trick - even if I wanted to renew this would have stopped me.

I have to say I disagree with most of the reviews on dooyoo regarding Insure and Go. I have been insured with them for the past two years and had no problems. Their policies are competitively priced but not the cheapest - I paid about £58 for an annual policy this year however plenty of cowboy companies on the internet charge far less. they ... I have just received a letter from insure and go stating that they will automatically debit my card and renew my travel insurance when it runs out. What a cheek! I don't recall signing up for that deal. They are saying that they will take £86. If I go online I can buy the same insurance for £80. Where's the customer loyalty in ... Read the complete review

I lost a filling while on holiday in England. It was a Sunday, so I'd have to pay for treatment, so I called the number Insure & Go provide for claims queries. I explained the situation, including that I was in England, and she said she'd call back. This she did, and told me that I could claim so I went and got the treatment at the cost of ... Satisfactory and then very very bad. Earlier this year I had to make a claim which Insure and Go settled quickly and fairly. "Great" I think and purchase a 13month single trip policy. I discover two days after giving my card details to Insure & Go that they have fraudulently taken £250 out of my bank account, pushing me over my ... Read the complete review
