The trouble with cheap things is that they may not always offer what you actually want.

Consider the true reasons behind the apparent innocuous questions you must answer to get a quote:-

a) "A pre-existing medical condition is a medical condition or any illness related to a medical condition which you or your companions knew about when purchasing this insurance"

>> If you or a close relative suffered from any illness anytime in the past (even a few years ago) and they have no reason to expect a recurrence - if it did recur then would you be covered? Asthma ? Under active thyroid ? Even though these illnesses are perfectly under control and your doctor says you are more than fit to travel? Covered?

No other person on whom this trip may depend has suffered any medical condition that has required either consultation or treatment or inpatient stay.

b) "No other person on whom this trip may depend has suffered any medical condition that has required either consultation or treatment or inpatient stay."

>> So if any relative has ever had any treatment whatsoever or even just a consultation years ago - do they cover a new unexpected recurrence or even a new unrelated illness?

??? Perhaps someone with a greater understanding of such things could explain?

I think I'll stick to an insurer that handles things a little more plainly and fairly - rather than me buy, just hoping they mean well by these clever words.
