Sitting at home one day watching the rain batter of the window, I had decided enough was enough, I was fed up with the terrible weather I live in Scotland, we dont always have the best of the sunshine up North. Last time I was on holiday with my mum, eight years ago, I had never booked a holiday by myself before, never the less I managed to bag a bargain holiday for me, my boyfriend, and my two daughters. I was rather please with myself but had that feeling that I was forgetting something. I was round at my boyfriends Aunties house one day when she asked where were we going, I told her then she said, is that including insurance? Knew there was something that I had forgotten, to be honest I didn't have a clue where go, who was the best price, or even who sold holiday insurance. Later that evening, I remembered my mum used to always get heres at a great price from the post office, our post office is a rather long walk so I decided to chance my luck online. Luckily for me, there was a tab saying travel, then on the right in red writing was a link saying single trip insurance, so I clicked on that, filled in my information.
They ask you to fill in the policy type, which maybe single trip, annual trip, explorer or long trip. Then it asks your destenation, not the place you stay in, but the plae that you are heading too. After that it asks you what cover that you are looking for, single - travelling alone, couple - travelling with your boyfriend or one other person, or a family - two adults and two children. Then it asks you to fill in when you are departing and when you are coming back, and last but not least will ask you the number of adults that are going (people over 18) and number on non-dependants (people under the age of 18) Simple as that, once you have completed the information needed, click the button below saying "Get a quote". I have shared with you, my information of this years holiday details so you can see it clearly.

Last year I opted for the classic account as it covers you for everything, and I will be doing the same again this year. Again I have shared with you, what the classic account covers you for, so you get a rough idea.

This package this year is coming in at \'a354.64, which is not bad at all, thats rougly \'a313.66 per person. If your happy to go ahead with it, just click undear the box that your wanting and a new page will pop up asking you to fill in the information of the passangers that will be travelling. It will ask you "Do you need additional cover for golf, winter sports, excess waiver, extended baggage or hazardous sports?" you tick either a yes or no box. Then you just need to confilm that all the information that you have give is ture by clicking that all travellers are able to agree the health declaration and I do not need to declare any medical conditions. How ever if there is any need to delcaire any medical conditions, click the box and call the medical screening on 0845 602 5275. Once that section is complete, click the continue box which will take you to the next stage.
The next step is simple, read through all the information to make sure it is correct and that there are no mistakes if there is you can go back and change them, if there are no mistakes hit the continue button.
After that they will ask you to sign in if you already have an account with them but if not, not to worry, it only takes a few moments. They will ask you a few deatils like e-mail this is to send you a copy of your paper work that you will need to take with you on holiday. They will also ask you informatuon like your address and things like that.
The next stage is the payment. I paid my insurance with my credit card, enter you acount number and sort code, not to worry about an extra charge to your account because you are paying with your credit card, becuase luckily for us there is no change woo hoo.
Once the payment has been accepted, you will see a confirmation page. I made two copies (just print it out) I put one in my bag with my holiday tickets and the other left at home by the computer incase I lost the one on holiday and needed the information when I came back. Lucily for me I didn't need to use my insurance but if you do, please remember they always send you a confirmation e-mail so it will also be saved there also. If for what ever reason you did or do need to claim please call the post office on 0845 602 5279 ( This will cost as it is an 0845 telephone number) to ask for the claim forms and explain to them your situation.
I cant recommend the post office enough to use for you holiday insturance. I rate this service 5 out of 5. I liked the fact that I didn't need to fill in forms and send away, or stand in a massive que at the post office. In all it took me less that 10 minutes to fill in the simple information that they require, even the payment was straight forward. I liked how they gave you a referance number incase anything was to go wrong, which I took note of and put it in the diary. It is an instant straight forward service with no waiting around, and just incase you misplace your confirmation, the post office automatically send one for safe keeping. And just think, if you were to go into the post office, counting how long it takes you to get there, and the time waiting to be served to get your travel insurance, how much of that time is it you have waitsted? Mines would be 1 hour 45 mins but online only took me less than 10 minutes. Wow enough time go to go the sun beds to start working on my tan (smiles) I hope that my review was of some use to you, thank you ever so much for takin the time to read. Where ever you maybe going on holiday, I hope you have a fantastic time.
Summary: Would recommend 5/5
