Go to the post office (Post Office Travel Insurances)
Member Name: TigerTiger
Advantages: Easy, do it whilst posting a letter! Post offices are all over, very good value Disadvantages: May have to queue
One of the most important things that I would say when travelling anywhere is to get some insurance, people often don't think it will happen them, of course their luggage won't go missing, it won't be their credit card stolen, their hotel that is a building site. Yet every year so many people find that it does happen to them and of course it is better to be safe than sorry. Secondly, though I would say not to just agree to purchase the travel insurance that goes with your holiday as the chances are you will be paying a premium rate. For instance whilst recently booking my holiday the high sreet travel agent wanted over £40 for 2 weeks. However, as I have discovered there are much better options. Go to your local post office! How many of us go in there each week, to post letters, buy lottery tickets, get money even and often they offer competitive rates on travel currency as well, so you can do both jobs at once. They have a great, very reasonable and competitive deal on insurance, as I got mine for two weeks for around £15...bargain! From reading all the not so interesting small print it seems as comprehensive as all the other covers that I was offered as well. I will definitely make this my first stop when travelling in the future as it so easy. Summary: |
