I want to say from the onset that I did not make a claim on my insurance, I survived my recent trip to the USA without needing theft compensation or medical fees and thereforethis review will cover the experience I had with obtaining the insurance, and the efficiency of the service. I must admit that from other reviews I have read on various ...  Read the complete review

Travel Insurance and Travel Money Post Office travel insurance is brilliant and you can arrange this online or in the post office. The price is one of the best around and the coverage is extensive. The last time I went on holiday, I went to the post office to change some currency, and while there, they were asking if I had travel insurance, and I said that it was included in my holiday, however when I got home, under closer inspection of documents, it turned out it wasnt. So I took up the offer to get some at the post office. I was rather ...  Read the complete review

To many people the Post office is just somewhere that handles our mail or for some perhaps cashes their benefits but to others it is of course much more especially these days where the Post office now offers phone and broadband packages. I do not use them for my broadband or the likes but I did earlier this year use them for travel ...  Read the complete review

I have spent the day trying to find adequate travel insurance for me and my husband, as we are flying late next week. This is something that we have always had in place but our policy had lapsed so we are no longer covered for our holiday next week. Lucky we had checked this last night and in fact noticed that we were no longer covered, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Post Office Travel Insurances: Post Office travel money card (570 words)

Just a quick review as a word of warning against the Post Office Travel Money card. Before I went backpacking in South East Asia I thought it would be a good idea to set up a travel money card. The post office travel money card is basically like a debit card, but the you preload the card with the amount you want to take away with you. ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Post Office Travel Insurances
by NickB - written on 01/07/07

Post Office cover seems comprehensive and first sight, but read the small print. The exclusions are significant when it comes to personal property and valuables. So, the insurance premium is on the high side, and with the exclusions I would say not such good value for money. As always, be clear on what you are buying!

I got my Post Office travel insurance on the day of departure of my trip. I just popped to the post office before setting off. Once I paid, I was covered. Simple as that. However, one cannot rate an insurance company without making a claim, which I did. The claim process is fairly straight forward. I called up the helpline number, and ...  Read the complete review

Post Office Travel Insurance is well worth looking into. I recently paid for a holiday to Cyprus and was quoted £30 for insurance for a week. There used to be no choice, you had to pay the insurance premium requested by the holiday booking company, but now you can choose. I looked a few different policies before I settled on the Post ...  Read the complete review

Let me start by apologising to Loulou6... Sorry but they have done it again! "What?', I hear the rest of you cry, at least I thought I did, maybe it's just the voices in my head again! I travel abroad three ot four times a year sometimes for up to a month at a time. I would also book my travel insurance at the same time with the travel agent. I would hand over my credit card and the whole ammount would be debited from my account. ...  Read the complete review

One of the most important things that I would say when travelling anywhere is to get some insurance, people often don't think it will happen them, of course their luggage won't go missing, it won't be their credit card stolen, their hotel that is a building site. Yet every year so many people find that it does happen to them and of ...  Read the complete review
