Where do I start! A catologue of errors, It all started in the USA I had a case of delayed baggage which arrived the next afternoon since I was travelling around meant I had to stay in boston for 2 nights. No problem Ive got insurance I said to myself little was I to know I was to embark on a painful, fustrating and unnecessary journey into the world of Primary Loss Adjusters! I have chased for months for the minute sum of 150bpounds, firstly they lost my claim documents so I completed another form, no word for a month, then was told after chasing that both had not been received. My original documents ie. receipts were lost and then miracously when I had to chase AGAIN was told BOTH had turned up, but although there was a backlog I would be put to the front of the pile, I have since been told that my cheque has been sent, apparently 5 times! guess what!?? yup you've guessed it NO CHEQUE, to cut a long story short, I STRONGLY advise AGAINST going with primary insurance as I am STILL WAITING for my cheque and my claim was made in June 2001!!Be careful as I went through a broker called TIA so it could be that you will be unwittingly taking Primary Loss insurance, so please ask who the insurance is through first!
