Advantages: very cheap

On having to have to purchase travel insurance separate as not doing the trip through an agent we had to phone around to find the cheapest.
Admittedly Tesco was far down our list of get quotes from.
Having had quotes vary from £80 to nearly double that in travel agents we finally telephoned Tescos.
For what I needed they were £58. This was amazing especially as when they told me, and yes afterwards I checked on, what they were offering was exactly the same as others quoting 3 times as much.
You can also do Tescos insurance at the last moment and they will give you a help telephone number and your insurance number to take with you if the policy hasnt got time to arrive.

Summary:
