... am currently on my second Black & Decker GL301 strimmer ("301") so thought I would share my experience of the 301. My first 301 lasted about an hour and a half an hour before giving up the ghost and packing in. Black & Decker GL680C Strimmer ... to start with a review of a grass strimmer. Well first and foremost (and perhaps most importantly) this product is very good at strimming grass. It comes up to my waist and is at a good height, so it is at a comfortable height to hold. It is possible to adjust the height on this however if when you get it the height is not quite right There is a handle at the back to grip with your left hand and then a further handle on the top that I grip with my right. I like the handle on this as it feels sturdy and importantly safe. It also helps with balance and is comfortable enough to hold. Flymo Power Trim 500 ... hubby working the long hours he does & my daughters having no interest whatsover in garden maintainence it s up to me to cut the lawn & do the edges. I do love our garden but would much rather plant & prune rather than the aforementioned but unfortunately, with the weather we ve been having, it seems that the grass needs to be cut every week now. I d actually prefer to have really good pair if old-fashioned edging shears to trim the edges but hubby recently bought a Flymo Power Trim 500 which, he insisted, would make life easier for me. Bosch AHS 41 Accu Cordless ... the front of our house there is a large hedge. Admittedly, not as large as it used to be as our neighbours removed part of it some years ago when they moved in. Our side remains as a barrier, effective at keeping out the noise and dust of traffic and useful nowadays as a receptacle in which passers by can deposit their rubbish!
