We looked around online and in various stores and eventually came across this Black and Decker. I know Black and Decker have a good name in power tools and things like that so to be honest we went with a name thinking it would be good and we have been pleased with this strimmer.

We don't have a very big back garden but it is quite a decent size. In the last year or so my husband has built a section in the garden for our dog Eddie. Its a fenced off area so he can go in and do his business and we do not have to worry about the kids playing in the garden and coming across a random bit of poo that we have forgotten to pick up. This is a great situation for both Eddie and us as we have a nice clean garden but it did cause quite a problem when it came to cutting the lawn. My husband has one of those big petrol mowers that makes a lot of noise and is really big and frankly quite scary so I don't ever use it.
