Advantages: Lightweight, Quick and Efficient, Trims easily

Disadvantages: It doesn't have a function to suck up all the messy trimmings left behind!

' Those piggin shears!' .... ever thought that?! Cripes, they're hard work. They absolutely kill your shoulders if holding them up high, and bending down low, your backs in half.

I was pretty elated to sat the least when my better half bought our lil flymo trimmer, but I was also nervous about using it. Anything electrical with blades that's going to vibrate with the possibility of malfunctioning and attacking something it's not supposed to, is always a concern of mine. You should see the look on the faces of the neighbours when i've got the hedge trimmer out, but that's for another review!

**Using the flymo**

For £34 on Amazon, our flymo was easy to unpack and assemble. The best thing about it is its adjustable telescopic handle. There's nothing worse than having to bend down when using garden equipment I find, and with this, neither hubby or I need bend. The flymo is lightweight and easy to carry which is another bonus for us that don't wanna be lugging things around. It is however noisy and vibrates quite alot, so make sure you have a firm grip of it and try to ignore the fact your arm is going into spasm (ok slight exaggeration)

**Useful for??....**

Stubborn weeds and brambles for definate! That's what I mostly use it for. A quick zip of the blades against those nuisance pain in the butts, and wave byebye to them for a while at least.

I also like the rotating blades for awkward gaps and the fact you can adjust the settings to do edges of flowerbeds. If you turn it on its side you can rid yourself of messy lawn edges, which is fab because it means hubby can stroll around with the mower, and I can chase him with the trimmer (usually with him moaning that he's not finished quite yet and that I'm getting in the way lol)

**Features**

12 M cable
Interchangeable spools
Shrubbing mode
Attached plant guard
500w trimmer/lawn edger
25cm cutting width
Cable storage
116cm in height
In line edging

**Be aware of....**

ME! (apparently i'm not safe with it haha)

On a more serious note, be aware that the vibrations take time to get used to. I don't like the sensation at all, but you will get used to it.

If the wire tangles, it can all go a bit haywire. Mine started vibrating crazily and making dodgy noises, until we switched it off and sorted it out.

All in all, it's a nifty little trimmer that is suitable for several jobs. It's far easier than manually doing it all!

Summary: FAB!
