Advantages: Easy Handling, Reliable, Hard Working
Disadvantages: None
I've been 99% happy with my Qualcast Hedge Trimmer. I'm pleased to see the latest hedge trimmers have a fixed safety guard which make me 100% happy. My property (approx 200ft x 50ft) is surrounded with mature conifers trees, all of them approx 10ft high or above. I take good care of my trees, they are trimmed three times a year - I can tell you, its quite a task. I use to trim these trees using a hand trimmer!! Then I bought my Qualcast Hedgemaster and it's worked so hard, never letting me down, it's easy to handle, durable and very reliable, a very important point is the fact the teeth are further apart than most trimmers, coping with thicker growth. After years of work I wanted to buy new blades, but I felt the cost was too much, the motor might be next! I've decided to purchase a new trimmer, I did buy one (in the sales), but it wasn't a Qualcast, I thought I'd got a bargain - wrong! I found it couldn't cope with my mature trees. Luckily my daughter and her husband wanted a trimmer, they only have a small hedge so they were able to make use of it. The Qualcast is the one I will be buying, take note - the teeth are wider and appear stronger than most hedge trimmers available, which is what you need for conifers, they grow so quickly and can become pretty thick, the Qualcast copes brilliantly.

I've never held or handled a hedge trimmer, so would have liked a bit more background information.
All the same, I didn't realise that these were powerful enough to manage mature tree hedges. Thanks for the tip.
Welcome to dooyoo.
