Is that a Tripod in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? (Giotto's Pro Classic Tripods GB 1140)
Name: Mr-Freeman
Advantages: Stable, light weight and strong Disadvantages: Expensive (typical price of around £100) Giotto's Tripod is in a league of its own. If your after light weight, strong and reliable tripods then look no further. My only experience with the Giotto GB 1140 is when my Dad bought one to fix his new SLR too. He asked me to assemble it, and after a few minutes, I had set it up to a needed height and we were ready to go. This astonished me as it looks like a complex piece of equipment, but it is very easy to use. The maximum height that I got it to was just under 1.5 metres. The Tripod ensured that the camera remained stable and secure at all heights (even in windy conditions). The pegs are aluminium based and fold to be carried easily within a light bag. The Tripod is resistant to erosion and will not fade in the sun etc. The mounting system allows almost any new generation of camera to be fitted, but make sure you find and test one first to make sure your camera fits too. Summary: A nice, stable piece of equipment for the keen photographer. |
