After my mini tripod I bought in Maplin Electronics broke I started searching online to replace it. I use my camera mainly for family videos or pictures and just wanted something that could sit easily on top of a counter or table and this appealed to me the most because its really flexible and its lightweight and portable so its perfect for sticking in the bag before we go on holidays.


It cost me 30 euro when I bought it online a year ago but at them moment its only retailing for £12.56 on Amazon! Its 50% off so I'd advise you to snap this up! It would make a great christmas gift for those keen photographers in the family.


It does have its limitations though as it can only hold a camera of 275grams or less. This means its not possible to connect a high end SLR camera which would weigh much more but they do seem to have another product made specifically for anyone who has an SLR and not a regular point and shoot digital camera. The screw that fits into the camera is universal so you wont have to fret about your camera not being suitable because any camera you want to use will be!


I have used this while camping and even on rough terrain it can hold its own and can even be clung onto a tree branch! We had great fun experimenting with pictures with this tripod on holidays and my 9 year old nephew spent hours trying to get it into awkward positions. The tripod is really sturdy and I never had any problems with it being unbalanced or difficult to manipulate. So simple even a child can use it!


I would recommend this to anyone who wants a simple mini tripod that is really versatile and portable.
