White Knight BG44AW ... first went for a gas dryer as the runing costs work out that much cheaper than using an electric dryer. At £350 to but new it was much more expensive than opting for an electric one- though hoped to recover that back in running costs. Also you need to allow for the cost of having installed and for safety reasons in use with gas you need to have a window open.Simple to use- just two settings- fine for us but if you have lots of delicates this may not be the dryer for you- an electric one may be the better choice in this instance. Has a large enough capacity at 5kg for a family like us. Worked for six months or so then no heat. Had soemone in to have a look at it- he spe... Hotpoint-Ariston TVF760A ... until about fifteen months ago, I owned a washer dryer, we chose that machine because our kitchen is fairly small and my hubby, who was chief washer upper at the time decided he also wanted a dishwasher, so, hence no room for a washing machine and seperate tumble dryer. There are pros to having a combined washer dryer, for example, I could put a load of towels in the machine overnight and when we awoke they would be washed and dried, still warm (if I remembered to use the delay start feature). But there were also some cons, the dried washing would be really creased after spending that amount of time in the machine and if the filter got blocked the water would come back... White Knight WK38AW ... have owned my White Knight tumble dryer for approx 3 years, during this time I have had no problems with it at all. i does the job its meant to. It is very simple to use, just plug it in at the wall and put the vent in an appropriate ventilated area. Put your clothes in, turn the dial and your off. The dial had a maximum time of 120 mins, which i found is plenty of time, if your clothes do get too hot it automatically cuts out, if it ever does this there is a small button at the back which you just press to reset the dryer.
