Advantages: easy and quick to use

Disadvantages: uses up electricity, but no more than other models

I have bought this to replace my 6 year old condenser dryer, which was a different make, and the overall gap between the two is remarkable. First of all, the water tank is at the top, which makes it so much easier to empty without any backache or spillages. Then the fluff filter has an improved design, it can be quickly taken out, opened, cleaned and put back. The heat exchanger at the bottom right is also superior in quality, it just cleans under the shower or sink tap, whereas the old one always had fluff and hairs trapped in the vents. The true innovations are the sensor, which allows me to leave it without worrying about burning the clothes, and the anti-crease, which keeps the garments turning over regularly until they are taken out. When it finishes the cycle two spy lights come on reminding me to empty the water tank and clean the filter. The various settings are very handy, as they let me choose exactly how dry I want the clothes to be, with the extra dry option ideal for sheets and towels. I try to be green and sometimes leave the clothes to dry on the airer overnight, but I honestly could not do without this appliance as I use my washing machine quite often. I thought about buying a dryer from a more famous brand with an A rating, but when I looked at the figures it just did not make sense economically. I cannot comment on its durability so my review is somehow incomplete, but for quality, features and price it gets a top score from me.

Summary: Next best thing to hanging out to dry
