A good value dryer
Member Name: olliamelia
Advantages: good price
Disadvantages: Sensor is rubbish
We bought this dryer just under a year ago. It was one of the cheapest we saw at £189.99 and it ticked all our boxes. Being in a small flat we wanted a condenser dryer as there is no external vent and I didn't want to fuss around with pipes. The water collector is placed on the top left side of the machine and is very easy to remove and empty. I find the water needs emptying after every cycle. The actual condenser is based at the bottom right of the machine and is also very easy to remove and clean. It is recommended that you clean it with a shower head but as we have no shower I do it under the tap in the bath once a month and it works fine for me.
The machine has 4 timer settings at 10, 20, 40 and 60 minutes, It also has a ready to wear, ready to iron and delicates spin cycles. I have noticed absolutely no difference between the ready to wear and ready to iron cycles so do not buy thinking you can get out of your ironing, no such luck! These are very easy to use and you just turn the wheel to place it where you want. This dryer has a sensor which is supposed to tell you when your clothes are dry and it switches the machine off, in theory this is great for saving energy but I have found it to be useless and annoying as it constantly tells me that my washing is dry when it isn't and I have to switch it back on every ten minutes. There is also a buzzer to tell you your washing is dry which thankfully I've managed to switch off as its very annoying.
A great feature of this machine is the child lock, I have a one year old who isn't quite walking yet but I should imagine this will be very useful when she's fully mobile as she loves to play with anything she shouldn't. The machine has a large 6kg capacity which is perfect for me as it's the same as my washing machine so I can just transfer my washing straight to the dryer. The lint filter is located at the bottom of the drum just inside the door, it is very easy to clean. It is quite nosiy but no more so than any other tumble dryer I've encountered. It is also quite large not only the drum but the actual machine is very solid.
For the price we paid I think this is a great machine. It does everything I want it to and my washing comes out dry and it is very easy to keep clean. It has had a lot of use as our only way of drying for the last year and having a refluxy baby I get through a lot of laundry. I am only awarding it 4 stars however due to the ridiculous sensor and buzzing. Overall I would reccomend
Summary: I would reccomend
