I bought this tumble dryer a month ago as I had just moved into a flat and could no longer use a venting tumble dryer. I'd been recommended Bosch by a friend as the leader in this field. I was impressed by it's use of different cycles for different levels of dryness and how short the program times were (ranging from 20 minutes to 1 hour).
So let's start with with the good points. This machine has an 8kg drum, which means that it can take a large load of washing. I can fit a king sized bed set with 4 pillows in there with ease. It's also really very quiet and when the load is finished it will intermittently run again for a time to keep the clothing from going cold. This is fantastic for those of us who forget there's a load in the machine and return two days later to a pile of very creased clothes!
On the downside, this machine cannot dry up to 8kg of laundry within one cycle. The aforementioned bed set needs to be done in two parts if I want to stand any chance of it being dry within a few hours. Larger loads seem to create just too much steam within the machine to condense properly.
The major bug that I have with this machine is that it and I disagree about what "cupboard dry" and "iron dry" actually are. Unless you use the "Very Dry" function you are presented at the end of the cycle with varying shades of damp!
Overall the machine does it's job well enough. It may take some time to get used to the quirks of the different programs though, and be prepared to not over fill it.
