Advantages: Gentle on clothes, dries well, anti-crease cycle, large capacity

Disadvantages: Could be too large to fit in a kitchen

I used to dread washing, and the feeling that I was living in a Laundromat. This Dryer, which I purchased 4 months ago, has been absolutely fabulous, and lets me get through the mountain of washing which my two boys (dirt magnets), husband and I create.

This is a large dryer, no doubt about it, it won't fit easily under a kitchen bench. However it fits perfectly on top of my Bosch 8 kg washing machine so doesn't take up all that much space in my utility room. It's a breeze getting the washing out of the machine, and straight into the dryer.

There are 11 different programmes, 3 under Easy Care, 4 under Cotton, 2 timed Refresh and even a Woollens Finish program.

I actually tend to use the Cottons Cupboard Dry or Extra Dry for the childrens' clothing, because I usually do mixed loads and the cottons don't dry properly in the Easy Care cycles, but most of my clothes are cotton/cotton mix anyway. Certainly none of my synthetics have been damaged in the cottons cycle. There is a timer which shows how long the cycle will take, this is not actually accurate on the sensor programmes, because the timer shows the maximum time, and the sensor will shorten the time if it's needed, ensuring clothes are not overdried or shrunk. We were recently on holiday and the washer/dryer shrunk lots of our cotton clothing, yet nothing has ever shrunk using this sensor program, so it is very effective and safe for clothing.

It's very good at keeping clothes detangled, but bedding still has the problem of getting all wrapped up and so does need to be pulled out, unravelled and popped back in. But it is very gentle on our waterproof mattress protectors, which can be tricky to dry, and are too expensive to replace with any frequency.

The anti-crease finish is brilliant, and it will occasionally give a little spin and toss the clothing around so that it doesn't all crease up when you're ignoring it.

It easily fits even a thick child's single duvet, which is essential given my boys' ages and the frequency their bedding needs to be washed.

There is a buzzer option, which is very loud and will repeatedly tell you that the dryer has finished its load. Fortunately you can choose NOT to use it if you don't want to. But if I take out the clothes quickly, I can avoid ironing most of my clothes, so a real time saver.

There is a start delay, of up to 19 hours, which can be set to take advantage of off-peak power or just to make sure your clothes are freshly dried as you get home.

I installed it myself, which obviously saved some money. I even lifted it on top of the washing machine myself, it was a bit tricky and not ideal, but can be done!

I am really happy with this dryer, and would certainly choose it again.

Summary: A great machine, gentle on clothes, and well worth the money
