This particular tumble dryer was a very basic model that had just two heat settings and one control dial which allowed me to set the drying cycle time. The way the dryer worked was that you could either set it to dry at high or low heat, with a simple press of the one touch button placed at the top front of the machine. ~ A Tumbly Wumbly Tumble Dryer~ *************************** My Hotpoint TDL14 tumble dryer was a purchase made after my compact mini White Knight dryer lost the will to live. At the time the local Co op had a promotion where by they were clearing out all the existing stocks of Hotpoint dryers at knock down prices, which made this a very attractive buy. In the showroom the dryer looked well proportioned and after having measured it, we discovered it was pretty much a standard sized dryer and we knew it would fit into the space left in the kitchen.
