Advantages: easy to load and unload
Disadvantages: just remembering to empty it
I had always had a vented tumble dryer rather than a condenser as i thought that the price extra that you paid for a condenser was not worth it..
But i decided when my vented dryer broke after only a year that this time I would buy a condenser to see if it was better and wasn't disappointed.
Mine is kept in an outhouse attached to the house and seems to work really well in there.
I empty the water and fluff filters every use and empty the extra filter at the bottom once a month.. to ensure its kept clean and less likely to break.. i tend to do this filter as a job on the 1st of every month as i then remember to do it.
It seems to fit a complete wash load and even better hardly any of it ever needs ironing... !
it looks non intrusive and could happily be on show as you do not have a window to see your washing drying..which i see as an advantage.
The door is the width of the dryer so it is also very easy to load and unload
overall i think it is a good product for a reasonable price.. not too much more than a cheap vented one.. and is better as u dont have the steam and condensation.
For information...
The difference between vented and condenser dryers..
Vented driers need to be placed near to an outside wall and need to have the steam extracted from the room using an extraction tube to outside.. they still do produce a lot of steam though and isnt ideal if you have to have windows/door open for the extraction especially in the winter
Condenser tumble dryers can be placed a lot easier around the house in the kitchen or nearly anywhere else that you have space as they dont need the extraction tube to outside just need emptying of water and fluff as the water condenses and fills the container..just be warned this container can be heavy if full..which may be a consideration for some
I paid £200 from Argos when i bought mine on offer but obviously its worth looking around at different suppliers to find the best offers at the time.. and dont forget to include delivery price /options into consideration when ordering
Its an 8 Kg Condenser Tumble Dryer so will fit an average wash load in
Width (mm) 595
Height (mm) 850
Depth (mm) 580
Summary: good dryer for the price
