Well, this compact tumble dryer had been a part of our household for over 4 years. We paid £80 for it but this was a deal from curry's as we purchased our washing machine at the same time. I think they retail at around £90 - £110 today.
It has served our 2 person household very well. Its drying ability was ample for an average load of lightweight clothes and with its load capacity of 3 kilo grams there was more than enough space. When it came to heavier items such as bed sheets, jeans or towels however we did find the load had to be split into two or three or they just did not dry thouroughly, leading to the terrible damp musty smell gracing our freshly laundered items.
The dryer has two heat settings and a timer which has an automatic cool setting in the last 20 mintues of the cycle.
Being compact meant we were able to fit the dryer into a small under stairs cupboard, where it was easily accessed. The filter is stored inside the dryer and is easily accessed once the door is opened which enables cleaning quick and easy. The dimentions make this dryer a desirable product for a small flat or for those who are pressed for space. It is built to be tough and sturdy and withstood us using the top of the dryer for storage boxes.
This dryer started off very quiet in noise but as it neared the end of its life it started to get louder, it was bearable but noticabley louder in the last 6 months.
After 4 years of hard work, this dryer has now come to the end of its life for us. The price we paid for it and the service we have received has, we feel, been value for money.
