Ion Audio iTTUSB 10 ... bought one of these turntables a while ago because it seemed ideal for me. You can plug it into your hi-fi in the same way you would a normal turntable but without the need for earthing it. This obviously is not it s main attraction. It also has a USB connection so you can plug it into your computer and record records from it. I have been collecting records for many years now of all shapes and sizes; 12", 10", 7", 45 rpm, 33 rpm, 78 rpm, etc... And was desperate to find a device that meant I could record these and have them on my iPod as some tracks are still not available on CD or digital format. On the whole, this device does the job. Technics SL 1210 II ... s The AK47 of the record player world this is built primarily to last, its sturdy frame and hard wearing exterior is both functional and simple I would consider this a design classic that is still being imitated! But don t mistake it s rough exterior with a brash or heavy handed sound, it produces (with a good stylist preferable a Concord needle) a warm and loud sound and it s uncomplicated design means that this sits both comfortably in any club or bar or upstairs in an inspiring young DJ S bedroom! Numark TT1610 ... the good old TT1610 s. I cant say they are a bad set of turntables, in fact I still have mine and use them regularly. I was looking for a cheap set of turntables to replace my old ones, and eventually found these in a shop close by. Unfortunately, I couldn t buy them separate from the Numark mixer, so I got that too, as a set. Luckily, I wasn t disappointed. The turntables themselves are cheap enough, yes, but don t let that put you off (As a set with the mixer, needles and slip mats, it set me back about £170 for the lot).
