Bedroom DJ's is where its all at... Rega P2 ... you are reading a review of this type of turntable, then your probably a bit older than the Briteny Spears appreciation society members, and probably appreciate the sound of good well kept vinyl. The Rega ooozes solid build quality and just the cleanest sound. My niece saw my deck and pronounced they her family had 'one of those'... comparing it to her own Sony stack record deck. If you want something that will do justice to your investment in vinyl, and you have a good separate system to match, the Rega is a very sure bet purchase. You wont be going wrong. Though, if you are keen to play your 45s frequently... be warned that the mechanism for changing ... Read the full review: Minimalist High Quality by Halibut88 |

Citronic PD-1 ... they were ok as my first decks but as I got better at mixing I realized how bad these were. No torque meant platter stops when cueing record Woundnt track properly, needle just doesnt stay vertical when cueing Wont hold pich exactly needing constant adjustment Not enough head weight requiring coin/blutack on the cartridge to get anywhere I couldnt recomment these decks. Spend the same and get a second hand set of better decks or just pay a bit more in the knowledge that they will last you alot longer. I still have the MSX-1 mixer however and think thats great. ... Citronic PD-1 ... decks are awful, and I really mean it. I bought a pair 2 years ago, and have never, ever managed to get them to work properly. They are jumpy, despite the fact I have money blue-tacked to the arm, I have one deck with a wobbly platter, the other decides to only give output through one speaker from time to time. Start up speeds are frighteningly slow, and the total lack of torque is shown not just through the slow start up and braking times, but also because every time I'm waiting to cue up a record, the platter beneath my hand stops. Dead. Which is very annoying indeed. Above about +5 you start to notice that the decks have a tendency to ever so slightly cha... Read the full review: The truth by evysjjb |
