Advantages: RELIABLE, quality, long-lasting, simple to use, cheap
Disadvantages: old, basic
The AIWA PX-E855 is old skool to the extreme, straight out of the 1980's, mine has had years of intense usage and it still going strong, unlike others that have come and gone in that time. It is reliable and has not failed me once in all the time I have had it. I like to think that they still make them like this, but I'm sure they don't. This product is basis for the saying 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' as few low-cost options today can even compare. The only possible downsides are the basic nature of the turntable, it has no anti-skate and is a belt driven table. But overall a very good turntable and an especially good choice for learners or techno-phobes.
Summary: A good buy for anyone who appreciates reliability.
