Numark TT1600 ... Do i really want to spend money on things like this? 2) Will I be commited to spend more money on this in the future (in vinyls, and needles etc) 3) Whats my aim in all this? - If you answered 1 and 2 with yes, and can answer number 3 - then bedroom DJing is definately the place for you start of at. There are two types of decks, Belt Driven and Direct Drive. Belt driven, funnily enough, are driven by belts, whereas direct drives spin from a direct axis. Rega P2 ... you are reading a review of this type of turntable, then your probably a bit older than the Briteny Spears appreciation society members, and probably appreciate the sound of good well kept vinyl. The Rega ooozes solid build quality and just the cleanest sound. My niece saw my deck and pronounced they her family had 'one of those'... comparing it to her own Sony stack record deck. If you want something that will do justice to your investment in vinyl, and you have a good separate system to match, the Rega is a very sure bet purchase. You wont be going wrong. Rega P3 ... suspect that many people reading this may not be sure exactly what to look for in a turntable these days, especially if you are lucky enough to be born in the 80's, so this is also an attempt to help everyone out. I have had the Rega for a year now but have been a semi pro DJ for much longer. The Rega Planar 3 is a High Fidelity turntable. Before I go any further I will state that it cannot be used for DJing. All you budding Djs out there know which turntable you need so stop reading this and go out and buy two!
