Advantages: Musicality and finish quality

Disadvantages: Preamp not switchable

The Bush MTT2 turntable is an attractive silver grey and was easy to set up and unpack due to good clear instructions. The belt drive is already installed as is the conic tip stylus in the generic MM cartridge supplied and mounted in an S shaped arm.
The adjustment between 33 rpm and 45 rpm is a single button separated from an on off switch. The arm lift functioned easily and steadily although it is a little fast in operation.
Sound quality is overall good although the original cartridge is intended for amateur DJ mixing and is sibilant on extended highs. With a high quality cartridge exchange the sound was exceptional, no hum or crosstalk with impressive midrange on jazz and classical.
The built in preamplifier does the job adequately the only mild disappointment a sharp roll of below 100 Hz, probably to protect smaller speakers . A switchable pre amplifier would be a good upgrade . An excellent turntable when related to others available at the very reasonable price point.

Summary: Good cheap turntable for occasional record users
