I dont normally do this, but the main reason I bought this turntable was because it looked good. Of course there was an element of its quality and functionality, but the design was the main driving force behind the purchase. When I was shopping around for a new set of turntables I was shocked at how much they had risen in price, and so I was surprised by how cheap the PD1 was in relation to the quality of the overall product.
One bit of advice I would give, and you could say that this is a minor disadvantage, is that once you have purchased these turntables, choose a location to place them, and make sure that they wont have to moved. This is because they are quite heavy, and at almost 10kg, you wouldnt want to be moving these around a lot. Now, the design is great, and resembles a more more expensive set of turntables, and features the normal twisting buttons, starting and stop, and complete pitch control, so although the Citronic model may not be top of the range, you wouldnt think when you are using them.
The quality of sounds is in one word amazing, and control of the sound is incredible, with the bass in particular brilliant. Of course you will always find better qulaity sound with more expensive turntables, but for someone just starting out, these are a great way to start. I would recommend this product, but for those of you who are more experienced with this sort of equipment, you may find yourself disappointed and require more advanced models, in my opinion anyway.
Thanks for reading.
Summary: Love the look of it
