Numark TT USB ... girlfriend bought me this for Christmas two years ago, and though it hasn t seen as much use as I d hoped, what use it s had has been good. Setting up was fairly easy, with it being plug and play - all you do is plug it into the usb port and it automatically installs (on Vista at least) along with the Audacity software to convert into mp3 or wav. That said, if I remember rightly I may have had to download a driver from the Numark website, but it was no great shakes. In use the only criticism I had was that the cartridge was either a little light, or awkward to set up - I m not discounting the possibility that it may have been down to user error, but I tried to get th... Technics SL 1210 II ... Techics SL-1200mk2 is ubiquitous and arguably the most famous record player in the world. Originally a hi fidelity consumer turntable, it was adopted by club DJ s for it s reliability, ruggedness and sound quality. It is still used almost universally not just by dance music DJ s but hip hop and scratch DJ s also. The original SL-1200 was released in 1972 as a hi-fi turntable, the SL-1200mk2 was released in 1978 originally with a shiny (very seventies style) silver finish. Gemini PDT-6000 ... Gemini PDT 6000 turntable is a great deck with some good features that at the time when new were class leading. Seperate control of pitch & tempo (2 sliders on the deck) were available, along with large range pitch control (upto +/- 32%), adjustable start speed & brake speed, master tempo lock, quartz lock, reverse play & digital screen showing either the pitch or BPM. The output could either be phono or line level (such as CD player) and a digital output socket was available too.
