Gemini Scratch Master 5.0:
... owned these turntables for a few years now i have to say that i think they are a good beginners turntable. They look good whilst still performing like some of the more expensive brands on the market. There is however one issue which i would like to highlight. The torque on these is not as great as was advertised and so in consequence i find it hard to beat match with them. I do not know if this problem only oc... Gemini PDT-6000 ... Gemini PDT 6000 turntable is a great deck with some good features that at the time when new were class leading. Seperate control of pitch & tempo (2 sliders on the deck) were available, along with large range pitch control (upto +/- 32%), adjustable start speed & brake speed, master tempo lock, quartz lock, reverse play & digital screen showing either the pitch or BPM. The output could either be phono or line level (such as CD player) and a digital output socket was available too. This deck is a joy to use, with everything very neatly laid out so as to all be to hand and with a very high torque direct drive motor, handling records is made much easier to... Gemini XL-120 ... XL-300s - just because they were direct drive. At the time I paid 300 pounds for two decks and a mixer. For an extra hundred I could have got myself a nice pair of PTs. The 300s were barely better except for an obvious increase in torque, but still the platter would stop even with the lightest of touches. The next decks i got of eBay - yes shame on me... Although I loved them! they were the Gemini PT-1000 MK2s and a great citronic mixer, these are what I should have bought in the first place. since I have bought these i can notice the change in the rate of progress, they are just so much more fun to use. Now I am just saving up for my Technics 1210s! We re all goin... Read the full review: Avoid the belt driven... by middlj |

Gemini XL-500 II ... are damn good tables for new djs. When it comes to beat matching...you can match the songs quickly, and go off and fix a pot of coffee and come back...and they still will be BPMed nicely. These decks go great with a pioneer djm500 mixer. I am very happy with them, but still want to get techs. Only because I m told it s a better machine. When it all boils down to it...it really doesn t matter what machine you get if you re a good dj.... Read the full review: XL 500 II's are pretty cool tables by phantazum |
