My old turntable which would probably pass for a museum piece sadly broke a few weeks ago so I set out to replace it at a good price. I didn't want to spend a fortune and I came across this turntable, the Numark TT1610. Numark are a highly respected firm who specialise in DJ equipment so I was surprised to see a turntable at the cheap price this was on sale for. On amazon as I write it is available new for £79.99 and this is typical of the price this turntable goes for elsewhere too. I bought mine from a local shop for £75, I've seen prices range from £75-90 new. Naturally at this price I thought I may have to sacrifice on some quality but this wasn't really ... If I refer to them as "they", I am talking about using a pair of the turntables :) The Numark TT1610 turntables or dubplates in three words are cheap, reliable but basic. They are made of plastic (with a bit of metal) so they feel slightly cheap at times, but hey! They have a really good price tag, so you get what you pay for I suppose. The turntables have the two standard (I suppose) speed setting of 33 and 45 RPM and are belt driven. They are really reliable, last a long, long time and are totally worth the money! By default they come with standard Numark branded slip-mats and a needle to get you up and runing in no time. They also have ... Read the complete review

Ah, the good old TT1610's. I cant say they are a bad set of turntables, in fact I still have mine and use them regularly. I was looking for a cheap set of turntables to replace my old ones, and eventually found these in a shop close by. Unfortunately, I couldn't buy them separate from the Numark mixer, so I got that too, as a set. Luckily, I wasn't disappointed. The turntables themselves are cheap enough, yes, but don't let that put you off (As a set with the mixer, needles and slip mats, it set me back about £170 for the lot). Although belt driven, you will get a lot of fun out of these babies. Alright, so they're your standard turntables, easy ... Read the complete review

This product is excellent, not as good as their CD turntables but really good. Easy to use and very reliable. Personally I think it could have done with more inputs and outputs as I run a home studio and I have a lot of equipment that all links together via inputs and outputs, most of my equipment have a vast amount of inputs and outputs where as this doesn't so I had to do a lot of changing about to get this rigged up into my system but its not bad, I thought the sound quality was slightly tinny thoe (When its recorded and mastered) and when your producing a melody you do not want tinny sound quality. But for a rave, dance, party or disco this would be great! As the ... Read the complete review
