This turntable is ideal for those looking to be a bit retro and want to purchase a decent first turntable.
Initially it takes around ten minutes to set up and this is easy if you follow the instructions.
The turntable has a solid wooden base, unlike other cheaper plastic ones that you can buy on the highstreet that are less sturdy and tend to lead to vinyls skipping and being scratched. I have had it for over a year and have had no problems at all, despite using it nearly everyday.
It has excellent sound quality and sounds pretty near cd quality. You can also improve this by purchasing a better quality cartridge, however for people new to turntables it is more than adequate.
It has two speeds, 33rpm and 45rpm. This is where the slight downside of the turntable appears, because in order to change the speed you need to take the plate off and put the belt around a different circle using a small plastic tool. However, although this may sound complicated, it is not and only takes about ten seconds. It also does not have a pitch shift, but no ever uses it on a home turntable anyway.
In terms of looks it is one of the more of the better looking turntables and fits neatly on top of my amp.
To conclude, this is a stylish turntable with good sound quality and is suitable for beginners wanting to spend a little bit extra, as it is priced at around £120.
