This mini record player is perfect for breaking out your old 45's and 33's again, or for anyone just getting into the hobby of record collecting. This Sony delivers great sound quality but does not come with a built in preamp, which for a beginner makes setting up a record player more expensive although speakers with built in amps can now be purchased.

Sound quality is crisp and much better than any other budget record player I have heard. The automatic stop function is useful although the lock can occasionally be a bit fiddly to use.

The product itself is sturdy and has a reassuring feel to it. This is a great beginner turntable and retails generally for under £90. I would definately reccomend this product to anyone who wants anything but a top of the range record player.

An alternative model, the PS J20B is available that comes with a built in preamp.

Summary: Definately worth buying.
