Advantages: Superb quality, never misses a beat
Disadvantages: a bit pricey
The 1210 is like the pele of football, the simon cowell of pop music, the phil taylor of darts, the bentley of cars. Its basically one of the best there has ever been!
The 1210 mk 2 is for me superb, its sexual, it makes my knees wobble when i see one, its the first thing i would grab if my house is on fire (apart from the other half of course!!). It keeps the beat you set it to superbly, which as a dj is all you can ask for, not many decks out there would keep a beat so well but you just cant fault the 1210 in this department.
Its easy to use, the pitch moves with ease, it has a nice feel to it and doesnt slip out of the position you set it at, at all!
This is a direct drive, it comes with a weight on the back of the arm, a plastic cover and a rubber mat if you wish to use it or not depending on how you like your set up. The arm feels nice and sleek and moves in and out of its locking bit easily so it doesnt damage itself.
There is also a light which has a push up button so you can see along the vinyl in the dark and also the speed of the deck moving.
There are 2 speeds on this deck, 33 and 45rpm, both of which can be altered slightly with the pitch speed which goes up to +10 and down to -10 for all the budding djs out there.
I will now list the tech spec:
