I have to say that I completley agree with everything that the previous reviewers has written about these decks. They are industry standard and there is a reason why you will find them in every club in the world. They are one of the best investments that you will ever make. I bought my pair a year ago as my first decks after deciding to ... Read the complete review

I'n not a flash DJ but just a normal guy who likes to mix up records and enjoys to be in the mix. I have used a few cheaper decks in the past, DLP's, KAMs and Gemini. I thought that going cheap would not make a lot of difference, oh how wrong i was. I finally took the plunge and went for a pair of 1210's. It was like stepping in to a ... Read the complete review

I've been dj ing for about a year now, in my bedroom, (not good enough to take on the world yet) but i'm already on my third set of decks, same origional mixer, im a poor student ya see. I managed to pick a set of these up second hand off a mate, merely as a stop gap cause mine were damaged (beer incident, never good) and i'm ... Read the complete review

Bedroom DJ's across the world with a grand in their sky rocket buy these decks. Period. The Technics SL-1210 turntables have become the industry standard in the DJ arena and it is easy to see why. They are solid, hard-wearing, easy on the eye and they simply do not go wrong. Mated to the right cartridge they give the average Joe on the street ... Read the complete review

Here's my short history : 1995 : Buy my first pair of 'decks', some direct-drive Soundlab's, which were imitation Technics. Learn how to mix, and do so successfully. 1997 : Come into a bit of money, no real need to change, but decide to go for the Technics SL-1210's... Well obviously I was over the ... I have been using the famous technics for a fair old while now. Working as a DJ, if somewhere doesn't have them, they aren't taken seriously. They start when you press the button, they stop when you press the button, and they go faster or slower as you twiddle the lever, and thats it. I have no real complaints with the technics ... What can i say that hasn't already been said about these turntables, i wouldn't use anything else to mix with! The SL-1210's are without a doubt the most reliable and robust decks i have ever encountered in my little short career as a Dj. I've used other decks before but in the music i mix (Rn'B and Hip hop) nothing ... Read the complete review

People say the Technics 1210's are the best of the best. Maybe, and yes they do have 20 years of bein the industry standard to back them up. But is it really necessary to spend 800 quid for a bedroom deck? There are so many other decks like Gemini's XL-500 and 2100, Numarks TT-2's and even Citronic PD-2's that would be ... Now i think that says it all really. Technics have been able to make a turntable so well that it took around 10years for any other company to come even close to beating it for general quality of the deck. An 8% pitch fade, direct drive, high torque motor, on the most stable platter until vestax. Its the industry standard. As i said nothing has ... Read the complete review

Say Bo if you want a rewind because these decks are cracking. Ive been mixing for about two years now and they have never failed me. Have you ever had trouble with your Numark decks or your Gemini decks, well if you are sick and tired of all that trouble, my advise is to get some Technics 1210's, the most reliable decks in the world today. ... You know, a lot of people… and it has to be said most of these people have a severe attitude problem, but I won’t go into that, will tell you that to be a DJ you HAVE to have Technics. I don’t think that’s true, but what is true is that there is absolutely nothing on the market to rival them at all. Very few decks ... Read the complete review

i have Djing now for 2 years. i don't do it professionally, i do it for me and my mates but having changed my turntables 4 times i have finally settled on a set on 1210's. i fell in love. they were 2nd hand (or more..i don't know) and they had been scratched bumped and general knocks. but i was amazed at how robust they are. I know, I stole the tag line from Volkswagen on this one, but it's true, if everything lasted as long, worked as well, and looked as good as a set of 1210MkII's, we'd all be very happy people. Anyway. Technics. There's a reason they've been around for so long. Why's that? Becasue they just won't stop ... Read the complete review

Don't get me wrong, the 1210s are a great bit of kit. Reliability is second to none, they are very well engineered, and have undoubtably become one of the icons of the rave generation. I've had a pair for many years, but if I went out and bought another pair, I would find in this age of technological advancement, that nothing has ... Read the complete review

The SL1210/1200 is the mainstay of deck market. Its reliability is nothing short of legendary, it has good looks and a simple design and is built very ruggedly indeed. I have owned a pair of SL1200's for several years, and have never had a single problem with them. Infact, I have heard of very few people indeed to have any trouble ... Read the complete review

Who/what gets to a party before anyone else, leaves last and gives everyone the most pleasure? Your answer is the 1210. The number 1210 needs very little explanation to those in the know. Music Genre's have been created around this piece of hardware. Dance music would not have been the huge success that it is today without the powerful image that a DJ gives to what are quite often monotenous dull sounds. Without the skills of the DJ, dance music would ... Read the complete review
