This brings back some memories! I haven't used this turntable in a very very long time.
One of my friends had two of these turntables as part of his DJ set up and we used to use this for hours and hours every week. At the time, I was quite impressed, it was one of the first turntables I had ever used. As soon as I used another turntable though, I realised that this was a very poor effort.
The whole thing feels cheaply made. Even considering that this is a belt-driven turntable, the pitch control is quite unresponsive, it seems to take a long time for the change in pitch to take effect. Also, the size of the pitch control slider is too small. Its almost impossible to get your record playing at the right speed because the slider area is tiny! The pitch selection is between -8 and +8 which is not really a wide enough range. You have the option of playing your records at either 33rpm or 45 rpm. The switch you need to move to make that choice is too easy to move accidentally. I also have an issue with the platter. It moves very easily and if you make any contact with the record, you run the possibility of knocking the needle out of the groove. This turntable just does not feel sturdy enough, I always had the impression that if you were slightly too heavy handed with it, it would just crumble to pieces!
As a piece of DJ equipment, this is not good at all!!
Summary: If you really need a belt-driven turntable, do not get this one!
