Technics SL 1210 II:
... and scratch DJ s also. The original SL-1200 was released in 1972 as a hi-fi turntable, the SL-1200mk2 was released in 1978 originally with a shiny (very seventies style) silver finish. Later 1200mk2 models became available in a more subtle silver or matte black, Technics also improved the motor, shock resistance, added a ground wire, and changed the rotary pitch control to a slider. This version is now the bas... Read the full review: More iconic and more fun than an Ipod. by LaptopAcidX |

Technics SL-1200 series (in general) ... with the other record or turntable. Which gives you a perfect mix and it holds its mix perfect for longer without loosing the beat match. They are even better when you get the concorde needles which are basically called dipped down needles. The reason for this is because it sits the needle at a certain angle so its hard to flip off when you are scratching or even the vibrations in a venue. Technics are very durable and heavy and are also very trustworthy. They are the most known and proffesional decks out. The manufacturer is miles ahead of every other manufactuer. Technics have been around for a while now and still other manufacturers find it hard to beat there tu... Read the full review: 1200 by DomDom26 |

Technics SL-1210MK2 ... are the leading manufactuer in the world when it comes to decks. They are trusted and used by most professional djs throughout the world and are seen in most clubs. To be honest, this is not massively different to the M3 edition, the most noticeable difference is the white LED light and the anti-skate control (which I never adjust anyway). As with all Technics, this plays records at either 33 or 45 rpm and you have the option to select the speed between -8% and +8%. This turntable also has the pitch reset button which, if pressed, ignores the pitch selected on the fader and plays the record as if at 0%. A nice feature, although I hardly use it. Putting the cartridge and stylus together was a tricky job but these things always are. After d... Read the full review: You know where you are with Technics! by danball |
