      Disadvantages

Works great on any Mac which has a 1GHz CPU or faster. Lets your Mac work as a PVR. You can program it to record while you are away or while you are actually using your Mac! Remote control lets you change channel, record, playback, pause, FF, Skip back, change volume, mute, etc. Firewire connection lets you connect two in series so you can record TWO programmes at once (minimum 1.25GHz CPU). The EyeTV software is brilliant. Note: later EyeTV software requires a graphics card that is Quartz Extreme compatible. Rage 128 card in early G4 towers is not, so use earlier software.
