Advantages: Cheaper way to watch and record Tv and you have much more storage space.
Disadvantages: The remote receiver dose not always pick up the single from the remote.
I got this TV card around 2 years ago when i first built this computer, as my laptop which had a similar TV card when i was at uni.
When i first Installed this card i has Windows XP i had to install the drivers and the program to watch the TV channels. It also come with a remote control which is good for when your in bed watching TV, The only problem is the remote control receiver is not good at picking up the remote single which mean you have to come to the computer to change channel.
When i got Windows 7 everything changed, windows media center and this card are the perfect partner, watching the TV was so much better and all the features of windows media center make watching and recording some much simpliar and better.
You get all the free-view channels and the Radio one too. so easy to set up as with windows 7 its plug and play but with windows XP you have use the CD and install everything.
Summary: This working better if you have the windows 7 OS, but still if not you still should get it
