... recording is fiddly and can often lead to problems with the wrong sound input being taken. The video and sound lags a lot and rarely is in sync. Overall, this tuner is only useful for digitising some old clips you may still have on VHS. If you want to do any serious digitising from an analogue source, then please invest in a PCI card. This TV tuner performs very poorly. Being an external USB tuner means from the start you're getting what you pay for by not getting a PCI card. The unit has inputs for an aerial or S-Video. The included software is very buggy, and the native resolution for displaying the video feed is very low, so as soon as you try to watch it in a reasonable window size or capture video, you're looking at incredibly poor reproduction. I bought this to connect a Freeview set-top box to it, to capture video from some digital terristrial channels to make clips for a website I was maintaining.
