Pinnacle has designed the miroVIDEO DC30 Plus to provide intelligent video editing that serves your creative process rather than giving you a technical wrestling match. Using Adobe's Premiere software, you can get beyond the 2GB limit on AVI file sizes, and produce video sequences up to an hour long. The DC30 Plus is able to split up a single long video file among multiple hard drives or partitions, and automatically reassemble the sequence during playback. It can also render a movie without storing the entire digitized material to a new AVI file, which would greatly increase the amount of drive space needed to produce a single rendered video. These features help lift restrictions on users with limited hard drive storage space. Every video segment that must be rendered is stored to a separate file, which provides an advantage when the segment is changed or edited later on. Since only the affected frames must be recalculated rather than large blocks or the entire movie itself, this reduces the time-penalty for post-production editing. Furthermore, all video material that is not rendered remains first-generation video during playback, with no need for recompression.
