I was a big fan of the original show so when I heard that a spin-off was going to be created, I didn't think it would be a patch on the original. How wrong was I, this is up there with the original & dare I say it, possibly even better. The series centres around the lives and dramas surronding the lives of a number of students at West Beverly Hills High. The acting is absolutely superb and there are some great storylines featured covering a broad deep range of issues. I also love the whole glamous aspect of the show. 90210 is the latest TV programme in the Beverley Hills, 90210 franchise. It showed in 2008 produced by CBS. The main characters in the series are the Wilson family who have moved to Beverley Hills from Kansas to look after Harry's mother. The programme watches how they integrate into this society of rich teenagers who have many problems. The programme shows a wide range of issues such as drugs, teenage pregnancy, adoption, alcohol and money. Since watching all the american dramas, e.g. one tree hill and gossip girl, i saw an advert for it on t.v and was instantly intreged. This follows the original series of Beverly Hills 90210. If you get into it, you don't want to miss an episode. It's aired on e4 at 9pm or 6pm on sunday. However it has just recently the season, and the next season may not be aired for a while. However soon you will be able to buy the box set. Much like the original show, 90210 follows the move of a family (parents Debbie and Harry Wilson, their daughter Annie and adopted son Dixon). This is a spin-off of the original series of Beverly Hills 90210. I have become totally addicted to it and won't miss an episode (E4 on Monday at 9pm or Sunday at 6pm). Funnily enough when it first started me and a colleague watched the first episode and found the characters a bit annoying and didn't enjoy it very much. Then weeks later we both confessed that we'd given it a second chance and been watching it religiously ever since! I was too young to be a fan of the original 90210, but being into what some would call trashy TV and American dramas I started watching this with an open mind. Seeing as I haven't seen the first series I cannot compare the two I can only comment on this one for what it is. The series is set in 'the hottest postcode in the USA' which is beverly hills. The series focuses around a group of 16-17 year olds (who all attend the same school) and their families and their teachers.
