Sunshine, pretty faces and teen drama! (90210)

Advantages: Easy to watch, entertaining, funny.

Disadvantages: Nothing to taxing on the brain!

I was too young to be a fan of the original 90210, but being into what some would call trashy TV and American dramas I started watching this with an open mind. Seeing as I haven't seen the first series I cannot compare the two I can only comment on this one for what it is.

The series is set in 'the hottest postcode in the USA' which is beverly hills. The series focuses around a group of 16-17 year olds (who all attend the same school) and their families and their teachers. The series is similar to the O.C. in that it is around beautiful people, non stop sunshine and drama.

Although there are lots of characters that the series includes there seems to be focus around one main family, the Wilsons. At the start of the series they are new to Beverly Hills, and have come to stay with the mother in law. Annie and Dxion the two children enrole at Beverly Hills and the series chromacles their trials and tribulations in a new, very particular city.

The Wilsons are a typical all American family. The mother is perfect housewife who puts her career second. Annie is a very pretty good student and Dixon is their cute adopted son.

If you like teen dramas full of beautiful people in the sunshine then this series is for you. If you are looking for something a bit gritty, more realistic and more educational then give this a miss!

Summary: Great for a fun easy watch, nothing to serious or educational.
